A shoulder immobiliser is commonly prescribed after shoulder injury or surgery to protect healing tissues and limit unnecessary movement. From a physiotherapy perspective, this type of support plays ideally a short but important role in pain control, tissue protection, and early recovery. While these supports are often grouped with standard arm slings, their function and clinical purpose differ significantly.
